Sunny

The sunny and hot weather continues in Illinois, today and through to the beginning of next week. I might set up the sprinkler in the backyard tomorrow for N & J again, they had so much fun the last time I did that.

The open house went very well, I met the kindergarten teacher, and was impressed with the computer facilities, library, and gymnasium at the school. What intrigued me the most is that the teacher mentioned that the kindergarteners have three reading assessment tests. Getting the kids learning how to read is a priority. Also, they were planning a trip to the Pumpkin Farm in October. We all went there last year, in addition to the colossal pumpkins, there are camel and horse rides. N & J loved it, we will go there this fall again. Bottom line is as parents we are comfortable sending the twins to this public school next year rather than Saint Zachary's. I think the preschool years have been good for them, though expensive. And the perpetual fund raising requests by Saint Zachary's are kind of stressful for us.

The Patriots played very well last night, they are off to a good start. From what I have read, the Miami Dolphins are expected to have another terrible season. I hope Chris Chambers does well for them, I still like him.

I am really glad the weekend is just about here, more than likely I will again take N & J to the library tomorrow, we need to return a lot of books, and they can play with the computers again.
